What it Costs

There are many factors to consider when budgeting a building project, whether it be an oak frame or any other type of structure. Whatever type of build you are considering, you need to take into account the potential costs of Surveys, Architect/Design Services, Project Management, Planning and Legal Fees, Buildings Regulations and Structural Engineering costs.

English Oak Buildings always provide clear and accurate quotations, outlining all inclusions and exclusions of the project. We are first and foremost timber framers, specialising in traditional oak frames. We also offer other services such as our custom-made SIPS (Structural Insulated Panel System), glazing, warm roof build-up, glu-lam beams and cladding. 

In regard to the “complete build” (excluding architectural, planning or similar fees), we generally advise to budget £2500-3000 per m² for a residential structure, which covers everything from ground works to the roof finish, and electrics to kitchen finishes.
